Beach Camping in Port A

We camped overnight on the beach in Port Aransas & it was awesome! If you don't mind being covered in sand, it is really neat to fall asleep to the sounds of the beach.

We camped 2 days & nights near beach marker 47. There were only 2 other overnight campers within view of our tent so our family had the beach to ourselves. This was in August so it was HOT but comfortable under the shade tent.

At night we could see everything by the light of the full moon. The temperatures cooled considerably, so we dug a fire pit and had s'mores along with the usual camp cuisine.

We sure were grateful to get to our condo & shower the sand off but it was an experience you've got to try at least once!
