Galveston Weather Forecast

With Galveston located on the Gulf of Mexico, Galveston weather can be influenced by the Gulf weather, which sometimes means hurricanes or tropical storms.

Of course, there aren't always storms in the Gulf, and many don't come near Galveston, but it is good to be aware of the expected weather during your vacation...

Galveston Climate

Galveston has a marine climate because it is located on the Gulf. That means hot, humid summers, and mild winters.

During the hottest summer months (July & August), average temperatures range from around 80°F to 90°F. This is not bad at all. The coldest month is January, with average temperatures ranging from 50°F to 62°F. This is the kind of stuff that makes people in the north envious!

The wettest month is September, with an average rainfall of almost 6 inches. Most of the rest of the year averages around 3½ inches, but the driest months are February to April, with an average of 2½ inches.
