Of course, there aren’t always storms in the Gulf, and many don’t come near Galveston, but it is good to be aware of the expected weather during your vacation…

Galveston has a marine climate because it is located on the Gulf. That means hot, humid summers, and mild winters.

Galveston Weather ForecastDuring the hottest summer months (July & August), average temperatures range from around 80°F to 90°F. This is not bad at all. The coldest month is January, with average temperatures ranging from 50°F to 62°F. This is the kind of stuff that makes people in the north envious!

The wettest month is September, with an average rainfall of almost 6 inches. Most of the rest of the year averages around 3½ inches, but the driest months are February to April, with an average of 2½ inches.
