Japanese Tea Gardens

The Japanese Tea Gardens, located near the San Antonio Zoo, are just beautiful. For the person who loves gardening and Koi ponds, this is the place to go.

They have bridges over the Koi ponds, and a program for ferral cats. We took our children, aged 9 and 12, and they loved it, too. Beautiful scenery, only takes an hour or two, and it's FREE!!!

It's a great place to take pictures, and there were couples and photographers taking engagement photos.

Make sure to read the marker with the history of the gardens, it's a very interesting story with a little insight into how the Japanese were treated in America during WWII.
