I always take a look at the San Antonio weather forecast before we travel to San Antonio. A rainy day when you
were expecting sunshine is a sure way to put a damper on any vacation or weekend getaway!
San Antonio Climate
San Antonio has a mild, temperate climate with an average of about 300 sunshine days per year.
The hot months are July and August, where average temperatures range between 70°F - 95°F and a few days go over 100°F.
July and August also have the highest amount of sunshine hours. The wettest months are May and June, with an average
monthly rainfall of around 4½ inches. The winters are mild, with average temperatures ranging between
40°F - 62°F.
If you have a choice about the time of the year to go to San Antonio, I'd say September and October are the best.
Some of the summer heat is gone, and there is less rainfall than in Spring. We go whenever we can. I just take a look
at the weather forecast before we go.
