Visit Shell World in Aransas Pass

One of our favorite things to do in Port Aransas is not exactly in Port Aransas. We enjoy taking the ferry to Aransas Pass and visiting a shell shop called Shell World.

Shell World is the only true "Shell Shop" in the area. The man that owns it was born and raised in Aransas Pass and has some great stories about the history of this part of South Texas. He also can tell you a ton of information about the shells.

It is like a free museum and the prices are very reasonable.

get real- every body enjoys shell world

The woman took offence from something that she neither heard nor saw. Ask the sister and get another totally different story. I believe she would have layed into anyone that day. 31 years of service should speak for itself. Yes, I have run into a few pretty crazy people. Next time try acting your age.

Be careful if you stop at this shop.
by: Linda

On a recent visit to Aransas Pass, my three sisters and I stopped at this seashell shop. The owner has a volatile temper. Don't make the mistake we made by moving one of his dusty pieces of coral to take a photo of it. He has a terrible temper, no customer service and is rude beyond belief. I had money in my pocket to spend but it stayed right where it was because he seems a bit crazy. (Note: we are all senior citizens that respect others and their property. It was scary how quickly he turned on four potential customers. DON'T STOP THERE!!!)
